PET SCRATCHES

They don't mean to do it, but some dogs have bad habits and they can damage your floors by scratching with their claws. Since these scratches typically only penetrate the finish, the problems can be rectified with sanding off the old finish and a few millimeters of the surface of the wood. Once the surface is smooth a new layer of protective sealer can be added.

ACCIDENTAL SCUFFS

There is always a risk when moving large items in your house. Whether it is furniture or appliances, there is always a chance that your floors are going to get accidentally damaged. Most movers and appliance companies are used to claims from their customers that their wood floors have been damaged. Get reimbursed for the repair

Water Damage

Water is the enemy of wood. As wood becomes saturated, it will swell up in size and begin to buckle making the surface appear rippled and bumpy. First, It needs to dry out before anything can be done, then it may be able to be resanded to get the surface dead level again. Sometimes the wood is too damaged, and a complete replacement is the only option

WORN OUT FLOORS

There may be some areas in your home that incur a significant about of foot traffic. Over time, this constant movement can wear off the top layers of protective floor finish. Hardwood floors that have raw wood showing through need to be reconditioned by sanding off all of the finish and then recoat them with a new layer of polyurethane.

SCRATCH REMOVAL

Whoops! That is going to leave a mark! Dropping heavy things onto your hardwood floors can happen from time to time. Perhaps over the years the dents are adding up, and your floors don't look the same anymore. By sanding off the top few millimeters of wood, these scratches will disappear and your floors will look like new again.

STAINS FROM SPILLS

Red Wine, Cat Urine, Paint, there is a long list of liquids that threaten the beauty of your floors. The top protective layers of polyurethane is usually good at keeping these stains from penetrating to the wood, but there are some instances when the spills can get through and permanently damage your floors, and refinishing the floor is your only option

I am extremely happy with my floors! I love the color that we chose and the satin finish looks great. Bruce was extremely responsive, always replying within one day and showed up when he said he would. He was also very knowledgeable and happily answered my many questions. We had one spot where a piece of carpet fuzz had stuck to the poly coating and Bruce had it fixed the very next day.

I had a great experience. Bruce was knowledgeable and very friendly. He made great recommendations and the best approach to refinish my red oak floors. He came back to check on the quality several times He took the initiative to send the finishers back twice to add extra coats of finish until he was happy with the end result. I even asked him to move up the work 3 weeks prior to our originally scheduled dates and he squeezed us in. Great service. Great end result. Highly recommended!
